The great room/dining room with cathedral ceiling and open kitchen take in the panoramic mountain view and make entertaining ideal. The large stone gas fireplace keeps Vista Grande warm and cozy; perfect for a romantic evening. The fishing is great! In fact, in our little "Hamlet on the Hillside" there are numerous fishing spots. The George Washington National Forest, which surrounds us, has a 15 acre pond with public and handicapped access and a dock.
Our legendary Shenandoah River has some of the best small-mouth bass fishing in addition to being its own wonderful playground. Swimming, canoeing, kayaking, tubing, rafting are all conveniently available. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, as we are, you'll find all your favorite past times; skiing, horseback riding, the Luray Caverns, shopping, antiquing, biking, hiking - you name it!
